Product Description

The S12 is a two-channel bi-amplified active loudspeaker built around a twelve-inch coaxial transducer. Both the woofer cone and the compression driver are mounted on a single axis, so the vocal fundamental and its harmonics leave the cabinet as one wavefront and reach the audience at the same instant, regardless of how far off centre the listener stands. A Class-D amplifier module feeds 400 W in total, split into 350 W for the low frequency section and 50 W for the high frequency section, and a built-in DSP shapes the signal with SPX digital reverberation in four programs, delay and chorus. The result is a self-contained PA solution that a solo act, a mobile DJ or a rental fleet can deploy without a separate mixer, outboard effects or amplifier rack.

The mixer section is integrated into the rear panel and provides three channels in a compact layout: one mono microphone or line channel plus one stereo channel, with Hi-Z switching on channels two and three for instruments with passive pickups and a single-knob EQ with reset on the channels and the stereo bus. A monitor or link output allows a second cabinet to be chained for wider coverage. Bluetooth 5.0 streaming lets a phone or tablet supply backing tracks, and the mode key steps between Bluetooth, AUX and radio sources so the operator never has to reach behind the cabinet in the middle of a set.

Key Features
  • Twelve-inch coaxial point source: a 12 inch cone with a 2.0 inch voice coil and a 1 inch throat compression driver with a 3 inch voice coil share one axis, delivering coherent phase response and a wide H90 x V90 degree coverage pattern.
  • 400 W Class-D bi-amplification: 350 W drives the low frequency section while a dedicated 50 W block feeds the compression driver, with natural convection cooling and no fan noise in the enclosure.
  • Three-channel on-board mixer: one mono mic or line input plus one stereo line input, Hi-Z on channels two and three, single-knob EQ and reset on channels one to three and the stereo bus, and a monitor or link output for chaining cabinets.
  • SPX digital processing: four reverb programs with parameter control plus delay and chorus, all recalled from the rear panel, so vocals sit forward without extra outboard gear.
  • Battery powered operation: a rechargeable 12 V 12 Ah lead-acid pack runs up to ten hours at one sixteenth of rated power, or eight consecutive hours at working level, and recharges in about four to eight hours.
  • Three output presets: SPEECH lifts consonants for announcements and worship, MUSIC keeps a flat response for playback, and CLUB adds low end weight for dance events.
  • Birch plywood shell: polyurea-coated birch plywood, a 35 mm pole socket for stand mounting and a net weight of 19.5 kg that one person can load in and out of a van.

Applications

The S12 covers the ground between a small personal PA and a full band system. Solo singers and acoustic duos plug a vocal microphone and a guitar into the mono and stereo channels and stream backing tracks over Bluetooth, while the SPEECH preset keeps spoken introductions intelligible in rooms with hard surfaces. Mobile DJs chain two cabinets through the link output for wedding receptions, poolside parties and marquee events, and the CLUB preset adds the low end weight that dance floors need without a separate subwoofer in most rooms. Fitness instructors, outdoor yoga teachers and tour guides run the cabinet on battery where there is no mains outlet. Schools, churches and community centres mount the unit on a 35 mm stand for assemblies, services and award ceremonies, and rental companies value the polyurea-coated birch shell that survives repeated van loading, rain showers and stage abuse.

Packaging and Quality Assurance

Every cabinet is packed in a reinforced export carton with moulded foam end caps and a protective bag over the grille, and the power cord travels in its own compartment. Each unit is burned in and function tested across every input, the Bluetooth link, the preset modes and a full battery charge and discharge cycle before it leaves the line, and the amplifier module is checked for thermal stability under sustained load. Please confirm the voltage configuration for your market and tell us whether you need the optional BTR-STP200 battery pack or the matching CASE-STP200 carry case included in the shipment. Spare amplifier modules and replacement grilles are available for rental fleets that require long term service support.
